# Get started with Agent Mission Control

Agent Mission Control user guide > Getting started

> What AMC does, how the app is laid out, and where to begin for your role.

**Who can do this:** Everyone

Agent Mission Control (AMC) is the business operations center for your agentic workforce. It manages the work your agents do, measures what that work costs, and governs it against the standards your business sets. AMC runs in your organization's own Azure tenant.

## Sign in

1. Open the AMC address your administrator gave you.
2. Select **Sign in**. AMC sends you to your organization's identity provider (Microsoft Entra or Auth0).
3. After sign-in you land on **Active Work**.

> **Note:** If you see a banner saying no department has been assigned to you yet, you can only see workflows that aren't in a department. Ask your administrator to add you to one. See [Roles and permissions](https://www.agentmissioncontrol.ai/guide/roles-and-permissions/).

## Find your way around

The left sidebar shows icons. Hover an icon to see its name. You only see the items your role allows.

| Sidebar item | What it's for |
| --- | --- |
| **Active Work** | Live and recent workflow runs, plus the items waiting on a person. |
| **ROI** | Savings, cost, tokens, and human interventions by department and workflow type. |
| **Flagged Reviews** | The Review queue: human interventions, failures to attest, and flagged steps. |
| **Governance** | Budgets, overrides, golden runs, failures, lifecycle, and the audit log. |
| **Agents** | Every registered workflow and agent: register, run, manage, and assign owners. |
| **Settings** | Users, departments, budgets, email, sign-in, triggers, and system details. |

The top bar holds the **Department** filter (shown when you can see two or more departments), the notification bell, and your avatar, which opens your profile.
