# Check your version and request updates

Agent Mission Control user guide > Administration

> Find the release you're running and ask for a newer one.

**Who can do this:** Any assigned role (version). Super Admin (updates).

Go to **Settings > System**. **Version** shows the release this deployment runs. Quote it when you contact support. Older installations may not report a version; that's expected.

## Request an update

1. In **Settings > System**, check **Updates**. It says whether a newer release is available and links to its release notes.
2. Select **Request update**.
3. AMC sends the request to your publisher, who performs the upgrade. The page shows when it's in progress and when it's done.

If a release requires an earlier version first, AMC tells you which. If the request couldn't reach the publisher, select **Retry notification**.
