How it works
How Agent Mission Control works
Agent Mission Control (AMC) is the business operations center for your agentic workforce. It sits on top of the agents you run on Microsoft Foundry and gives the business three things those agents don’t come with: one place to manage the work, a cost for every unit of it, and standards every run has to meet.
T+00 · Install, connect, run
Three steps from install to a governed workforce
- 01
Deploy it into your Azure subscription.
Install Agent Mission Control from Microsoft Marketplace as an Azure managed application. It runs in your own subscription, signs people in with your Entra, and writes its audit trail to your App Insights.
- 02
Connect your agents and register the work.
Connect the Microsoft Foundry projects you already run. Register each workflow with an owner, a budget, a rubric it has to pass, and the person or team who answers when an agent needs help.
- 03
Run it like a department.
Every agent, task and human intervention lands in one queue. Cost is tracked per unit of work, by department. Every run is checked against its rubric, and failures are recorded with the person who signed off.
Manage. Measure. Govern.
Manage
One queue for every agent and every human handoff. Interventions route to ServiceNow, Salesforce, HubSpot, Teams or email, each with an SLA.
Operations and department heads →Measure
Cost per unit of work: token spend plus the people who supervised it, by department, against budgets with hard caps and approval tiers.
Finance →Govern
A rubric on every workflow, pass or fail recorded at the step, failures attested by a person, all inside your own tenant.
IT and platform teams →How it fits with Microsoft
Microsoft Foundry and Agent 365 handle the agents themselves: building them, their identity, access and tracing. Agent Mission Control works alongside them and handles the work those agents do: who owns it, what it cost, whether it met the bar. It doesn’t replace Microsoft’s tools, it doesn’t build agents, and it isn’t a security product.
Pricing

- What does Agent Mission Control do?
- It manages, measures and governs the work your AI agents do. You get one queue for agents and human interventions, cost per unit of work by department, and rubrics every run has to pass.
- Does Agent Mission Control replace Microsoft Foundry or Agent 365?
- No. Foundry and Agent 365 manage the agents. Agent Mission Control manages the business side of the work they do and runs on top of them.
- Where does my data go?
- It stays in your Azure subscription. Agent Mission Control deploys there as a managed application and uses your Entra and App Insights.
- Who uses it day to day?
- Operations managers and department heads work in it directly. Most other people never open it, because interventions reach them in the tools they already use. Finance uses it for budgets and cost. IT uses it for standards and the audit trail.
